We had the chance to dive into an urban jungle right inside of Berlin. It is called the 25hours Hotel and it comes striking with a lot of great design and interior ideas by architect Werner Aisslinger located in a historical building in the west of Berlin near the zoo.
After opening hotels in Hamburg, Frankfurt, Wien and Zurich a 25hours Hotel also opened its doors in Berlin. It is located exactly in the center of the western part of Berlin. Next door you can find the Zoological Garden which is visible from most of the rooms. If you are into shopping you can also enter the mall called Bikini that follows a very unique and new concept connected to the hotel.
You can find 149 individually designed rooms by architect Werner Aisslinger. 23 suites featuring a bath tub that also works as a body of sound and Schindelhauer bikes on the wall waiting for a ride through the city. Included into the hotel you can find a bakery that is working together with Berlin-based bakery Alpenstück. The design duo Bless was asked to design the lobby. The reception was build from subway station tiles from Alexanderplatz.
On the upper floors you can find a 1000 sqm area with the Monkey Bar and the Neni Restaurant. The bar is not only serving high quality drinks in a very nice atmosphere. It also features a view onto the monkey enclosure of the zoo while the restaurant is serving best isreali food and a very nice breakfast in the morning. The overall design of the rooms is pretty rough and focusses on raw materials like wood and concrete. It is a mix between harsh Berlin and a jungle.
