Inspired by long, cold winters in Sweden spent being cooped up indoors, ‘Femton’ is a new collection of all-natural workout gear designed by industrial design student Ali Safa A. from Stockholm. The Femton workout kit strives to alter public perceptions of exercise equipment while aiming to encourage healthy living and raise environmental awareness. He also forgoes the use of metal and rubber in typical gym equipment in favor of environmentally friendly materials.
Made from natural materials, like hemp, wood, ash and marble, the minimalist workout equipment encourages a healthy lifestyle while highlighting the beauty of the natural world. The collection includes a selection of four apparatuses: a jump rope, two push-up barrels, adjustable dumbbells and a core wheel. So it’s not just another workout set that you stow away under your bed. It is designed to be a part of a characteristic home, always visible and to keep you motivated.
The Femton workout kit is not currently available for purchase but Safa has been been in discussions with retailers about the potential for a limited edition collection in the near future.
