Fred Perry and Art Comes First come together for a capsule collection which sees punk tailoring on classic Fred Perry pieces come alive. Founded by designers Sam and Shaka, Art Comes First shares similar concepts to the British heritage brand mixing modern styles with subcultures. Dubbed the title ‘Travelling Tailors’ the duo take craftsmanship inspiration and strive to create pieces that inspire and look to the future.
Tradition, inheritance, nothing is new under the sun. We study what was done before us so that it can inspire the future. It’s the 360 circle of creativity.
They put their spin on the iconic Fred Perry shirt, Harrington and Track jackets as well as a fedora hat. The colors are kept monochrome throughout, keeping it simple and minimal with a touch of the unique Art Comes First print lining. All of the pieces feature dual branding, with the Perry Laurel Wreath rendered in khaki and black.
The Fred Perry x Art Comes First capsule collection is now online available.
