Two Canadian brands have come together to release one of the most anticipated athleisure collections of the year. Lululemon is taking its focus away from yogawear for a second to release a collection of performance pieces in collaboration with Vancouver-based menswear boutique, Roden Gray.
The military-inspired workout gear merges streetwear vibes with forward-thinking technical details like four-way stretch and sweat-wicking Swift fabric and military features like webbing and stiff cotton drawcords. Each piece also features details like reflective artwork and lettering that reads “LXRG-9807”. The numbers 98 and 07 represent 1998 and 2007, the years in which Lululemon and Roden Grey were founded, respectively.
The seven-piece collaboration will feature a jacket, pants, and shorts made from Lululemon’s durable, water-resistant Swift fabric, two lightweight jerseys and mesh tees, a tech fleece hoodie, and a 3/4th length tight. The clean aesthetic works seamlessly together and looks great around town. But that’s not to say you can’t sweat in it. The line is every bit as active as you are.
„As an influential source for the ever-changing landscape of the fashion industry, Roden Gray brings an inimitable perspective that’s reflected in the military-inspired collection,“ says Ben Stubbington, senior vice-president of men’s design at lululemon, „The lululemon x Roden Gray collaboration invokes our evolving approach to performance-driven apparel, merging fashion and function.“
The Lululemon x Roden Gray Capsule Collection starts at $98 and is available online and at select Lululemon stores around the globe.
